Practicalities and details of the house, grounds and local area for your visit to Cray House:
The nearest local shops for basic supplies are at Kirkmichael or Bridge of Cally, both 15 mins drive from Cray. A larger variety of shops and supermarkets can be found in Blairgowrie, a 25 min drive. Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s all deliver to the house so you could arrange all groceries for your stay in advance.
The nearest pubs are the Glenisla Hotel, 6 miles away, which serves real ale and good pub food all day. The Bridge of Cally Hotel and the Strathardle Inn at Kirkmichael, both 8 miles away are also very nice. For a broader market, Blairgowrie has various restaurants, pubs and takeaways. The Wee House of Glenshee, just up the main road, is a great place to go for lunch or afternoon tea, with tasty home-baking. There is a small tourist information area there too.
