Comfortable seating in front of the wonderful Morso wood burning stove provide the perfect place to relax and unwind, perhaps after an active day in the hills or to simply cosy down with a good book. French windows either side of the property allow light to stream in and provide access to your own fully enclosed private garden. The bedroom with its sleigh bed, low beamed ceiling, wooden floor and warm soft furnishings, provides an inviting retreat whatever the day has brought.
Blairbeg Cottage is ideally situated for exploring the wonderful outdoor surroundings of the Angus Glens, Cairngorms National Park and Highland Perthshire. Attractions such as Balmoral, Blair Atholl and Glamis Castles, Scone Palace and House of Bruar are all within easy reach. The nearby towns of Pitlochry, Dunkeld, Perth and Braemar offer shopping, restaurants, theatre, whisky distillery tours as well as access to some of Scotland’s most impressive mountains.
The area offers great walking and hiking routes, including the famous Cateran Trail right on the doorstep. Mountain bike trails, both wild and purpose-built are also very close by. There are many quality golf courses within 20 miles, such as Rosemount in Blairgowrie, Alyth, Kirriemuir and Braemar. The world famous courses of Carnoustie, Gleneagles and St Andrews are slightly further afield, but still accessible in a day trip. Other activities include bird watching, fishing, skiing in winter months, stalking and shooting.
